Newcastle boss Pardew says they won't sit back against Man Utd

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says they'll attack Manchester United tonight.

Pardew insists Newcastle will not be fazed and want to have a real go at Manchester United tonight.

The Toon boss said: "Looking at the recent games, teams that have sat back have got thumped.

"They've got such talent in their ranks they're going to cause you problems. You have to accept that.

"But we have a striker in Demba Ba who is in form, a central midfield pairing that I think is as good as theirs while the back line and the goalie have been resolute all year.

"We are in a good position to try and attack the game."

Pardew believes Toon can repeat Blackburn's shock win over United.

He added: "It's important to retain the ball and make them work but we still need a threat at the end of that."
