Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew isn't panicking over a slow summer market so far.

Toon started day one of pre-season training with Romain Amalfitano as his only new face.

Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "We're working on a few things.

"I know this time last year we'd brought in a couple of players, but we're very much in the market at the moment."
