Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has played down interest in Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
Sissoko's agent declared both Toon and Liverpool were keen on the France international.
Pardew knows all about the midfielder after scouting Toulouse last season when running the rule over Cheikh M'Bengue.
But a United source told the Evening Chronicle: "There have been no discussions or talks with any of Sissoko's representatives. It is merely agent talk."
