Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is happy to have Steve Harper back with the club.
Harper has returned from his loan at Brighton.
Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "It's good to have Steve back.
"He's got an experience and knowledge that is essential, especially with Christmas coming up.
"He'll be important around the place."
