Newcastle boss Pardew eyeing points at QPR

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has urged his side to maintain unbeaten when they take on QPR at Loftus Road.

The Magpies have two wins and a draw from their opening three Premier League matches so far this season and Pardew hope that run continues in West London tonight.

"We've had a great start and are looking to build on that," he said.

"It's been one of the best starts we've had at this club for a long while. Two wins and a draw, a victory in the cup, and we are looking forward to QPR.

"I was expecting us to start well, but the fixtures were difficult and in terms of the points total that is really pleasing. I have been slightly surprised that we have come out with seven points, but I was always confident that we could avoid getting beaten."
