Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew rates victory over Norwich City as the best of the season.

The Toon edged out Norwich 1-0 yesterday.

And Pardew said: "This could turn out to be one of the most important results of the season.

"It makes the task do-able whereas if we had lost today, winning five out of the last nine might not have been.

"We had eight senior players out so I had to ask players to play in different positions. But everyone is pulling together to get us the finish we need."
