Newcastle United boss Joe Kinnear has regrets being turned down for the Tottenham job when Sir Alan Sugar was in charge.
"I had an interview for the job with him," said Kinnear. "The lad from Switzerland, Christian Gross, got it.
"I don't watch Sugar on TV now! I only watch sport. But it was a long time ago and I have met him since and he seemed a nice bloke.
"As a player I had five finals and we won them all. It was a very successful time playing with the people I did, it was fantastic.
"Dave Mackay's coming on Sunday as my guest with his family.
"I played with Pat Jennings, Cyril Knowles, Greavsie, Alan Gilzean, Martin Chivers, Martin Peters, Cliff Jones - an endless list of fantastic players.
"They had a song for Cyril, Nice one Cyril, but they also had one for me."
