Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton says England youth striker Ryan Donaldson is in his plans.
Donaldson could be loaned out for the rest of the season on a longer term deal when the January window opens for business in just four weeks' time.
Hughton made it clear today that he had not forgotten Donaldson, though.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "Ryan just needs to keep his head down and keep playing.
"I've always said if there was an opportunity to go out on loan then I would give him it. Hopefully something like that might happen in the future.
"But in the meantime he just needs to keep his head down and keep working as hard as he can."
