Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has admitted his admiration for Marcus Thuram.

The Borussia Monchengladbach striker is off contract at the end of the season and interesting Newcastle.

Good friend and Toon star Allan Saint-Maximin has admitted speaking with Thuram about a move to Tyneside.

And Howe stated today: "Good job Maxi!

"He is a fantastic player. But yes, no more than that. Of course, I have seen him during the World Cup, but it is nothing more than that at the moment."
