Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has no doubts about the long-term value of Sven Botman.
The summer arrival from Lille has battled for minutes so far this season.
But Howe says: “My faith in him is enormous. We fought a lot to sign him and we stayed true to our principles because that's what we wanted.
"I see a lot of potential: he is very good with the ball and he surprised me how good he is technically.
"He is very calm despite the fact that the Premier League is a very hectic championship and this is important.
"He has to work and develop parts of his game like everyone else, but I feel he has enormous potential."
