Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe admits he was pleased to see the January transfer window close.
The Magpies did not secure any significant signings, but had to contend with many players being linked with exits.
The likes of Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson and Jamaal Lascelles were all linked with moves away, while Kieran Trippier was the subject of two offers from Bayern Munich.
On the window, Howe told reporters: "My preference is always to concentrate on the football and coaching, and working with the players, so any distraction to that isn't welcome.
“The transfer window is gone and now we look forward to just focusing on the football."
Newcastle had to settle for a 4-4 draw at home against newly promoted Luton Town at the weekend.
