Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce says they'll take seriously tomorrow's FA Cup replay against Rochdale.

For the winner, there's the reward of a home tie versus Oxford United.

"The FA Cup doesn't do any harm to have a run in, let's try and tackle it head on," said the Magpies boss.

"We have an opportunity, two division one teams in the next rounds. It's a great opportunity, but that's all it is. We have to perform and get through.

"Rochdale were delighted with a replay for obvious reasons – a smaller club to get a crack at a Premier League team and I know all about it after playing in the lower divisions for seven years.

"It's what it's all about, they'll come up this afternoon (Monday), enjoy themselves and want to do well at St James' Park. It's their big game to be honest and we have to be ready for the challenge."
