Newcastle boss Bruce satisfied with impact of loan trio

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has been satisfied with the impact of their January loan signings.

The Magpies signed Danny Rose (Tottenham), Nabil Bentaleb (Schalke) and Valentino Lazaro (Inter Milan) on loan in January and Bruce has been reflecting on the impact they have made.

He said, "I think you need time. Time is crucial in management now," Bruce said. "I think it was important we brought in two or three players in January, which helped everyone.

"They might have been on the pitch but their actual presence in being here helped everyone so I just think it's a bit of time. The longer you're in it, the more you can.

"My own philosophy is what you have seen recently. That's the way we want to go, that's the way I want to go, but I didn't think the players were ready for change so I previously left it alone. They were comfortable in it."
