Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce says a January market summit will be held next week.
Bruce admits he's yet to seriously consider their transfer plans.
He said today: “I spoke to Lee (Charnley, Managing Director) yesterday and we'll have a meeting next week, I have a meeting next week with Steve Nixon the chief scout.
“But it's always difficult. If there is somebody that can improve us we'll try and act. But as for real and big conversations, I haven't yet. I'm just concentrating on the job at hand, which is to get the best out of the team now.
“I know what I would like to have of course but it's whether you get it. If you can't get it you have to be patient. It's pointless bringing in individuals just for the sake of it. If there is somebody who can improve the team we will act. We'll see what January brings.“
