Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce is prepared to wait to sign Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen.
Bruce took Bowen to Humberside from Hereford in 2014 and his free-scoring form has confirmed the Toon chief's belief that he is worth signing for a second time, says the Daily Star.
Bowen, 22, goes into Sunday's Championship game at Middlesbrough with ten goals in all competitions already this season.
He is out of contract next summer, but Hull have an option to extend his existing deal for another year and are trying to protect their £20million-rated prize asset by offering him improved terms to 2022.
Bruce could test the Tigers' resolve with a January bid for Bowen, but is prepared to hang fire until the end of the season to make his move.
