Newcastle boss Benitez: Zero pressure on Wagner's Huddersfield

Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez believes there's no pressure on fellow promotion winners Huddersfield Town.

The two promoted sides meet at the John Smith's Stadium this afternoon.

"They have the same manager, the same approach and the same advantage as last season – because they have nothing to lose," said Benitez.

"Is it easier for them? 100 per cent. Last year they were talking about us as well, 'Oh, we have to be promoted'.

"And now you have teams that will be panicking if they are near the bottom of the table. But for Brighton and Huddersfield, it will not be a big problem and that will give them more confidence if they are doing well.

"I think Wagner is doing a great job. If they continue winning and doing well, they'll say he's a great manager, but if they lose games and cannot progress, they'll say, 'OK, we'll see what happens'.

"But I was expecting it (the pressure) to be like this here, I have to make sure I make less mistakes than other managers."
