Newcastle boss Benitez won't blame Blackpool for Sorensen problems

Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez won't blame Blackpool for Elias Sorensen's problems during his loan.

The Danish striker moved to Bloomfield Road in January until the end of the season but hasn't started a game yet and was left out of the squad altogether on Saturday.

On Sorensen, Benitez said: “The reality is that when the players are around here, if they don't have a chance in the first team we talk about maybe they (should) go on loan. After that, I always say the same: if they're on loan and not playing is it better or worse for them? They have another experience and of another environment but maybe they are not playing.

“We have two or three who are not playing at the moment. We have to be really careful when they go that the manager likes the player, the style of football is good. If he is not playing you cannot blame the manager because he will have his own idea but why was he going there? In theory because he has to play. (My opinion is) Young players they have to play."
