Newcastle boss Benitez adding two more coaches

Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is expanding his backroom team.

The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle are expected to add two new goalkeeper coaches to their backroom team.

Long-serving goalie guru Chris Terpcou has joined Arsenal for the new season and United are looking to bring in two new coaches to work with the Under-23 team and the Academy.

Ben Dawson's side are now back in pre-season training and will face their first friendly game of the summer at Barrow on Monday night.

The new coaches will work with young shot-stoppers Nathan Harker, Otto Huuhtanen and Dan Langley.

The keeper department at second-string level will get a fresh look after both Paul Woolston and Brendan Pearson left the club at the end of the season following the end of their contracts.
