Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce doesn't expect to see the best of Joey Barton for another couple of weeks.

Allardyce said: "He'll get better and better as time goes on. On the basis of Saturday's performance (against Reading), energy-wise he's okay, but he's a little rusty in possession. I think two or three more games and he'll pick it up quickly."
