Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce has warned Steven Taylor and Manchester City's Micah Richards not to let their England breakthroughs go to their head.
Allardyce remembers seeing the international hopes of his former Bolton striker Michael Ricketts destroyed after just one match.
He said: "Michael Ricketts played two games in one day for England - his first and last. His advisors disrupted him. He stopped playing for us, we got fed up and sold him."
