Newcastle United attacker Sammy Ameobi will play anywhere for a first team chance.

Ameobi's favourite position is out wide, but he has also been used as a striker during the pre-season after putting in an impressive shift against Chemnitzer in the opening game earlier this month.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "The manager is looking at me on both wings and behind a striker, which is good.

"The more versatile I am, the better chance I have of playing, really.

"I am just enjoying my football. I will keep on doing what I am doing."
