Newcastle United are in advanced talks with skipper Kevin Nolan over a new contract.
The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle are keen on ensuring Nolan sees out the peak years of his career on Tyneside, with no shortage of interest in the Toon talisman coming from a host of Premier League sides this season.
United's top scorer with 12 goals this season still has two years left to run on his current deal.
