Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko concedes he has Champions League ambitions.

But the Frenchman insists he's not pushing to quit the Toon.

"I hope to play in the Champions League one day. Newcastle did everything to keep me [in the summer]," Sissoko told Canal+.

"Yes of course [I want to continue with Newcastle], I have a contract with them and I want to continue. Lots of things could happen but I leave my agent to deal with all that.

"We are not in the right position in the league, we know it."
