New Zealand preparing for World Cup qualifier

The New Zealand national team have settled Dubai ahead of Sunday morning's World Cup qualifier against Bahrain. The All Whites take on Bahrain in the first of a two-legged final which will see the winner progress to next year's World Cup finals and coach Ricki Herbert says things are going well so far.

"Every second we have together is priceless," said Herbert.

"It's important to get everyone into the environment and switched on to what we need to do."

The warm conditions expected in Manama have not deterred Herbert as he believes his players have experience in the heat.

"We've played in similar conditions - if not more humid - during the qualifying campaign in the Pacific, so we'll adjust quickly. It'll be a productive week on the training pitch," he concluded.
