Future Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise New York City FC and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital have entered into a partnership that will see the hospital become a founding sponsor and the official hospital of the club, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. As part of the new deal, the two organisations will collaborate on a number of community and health-related programmes.
"We're thrilled to play a part in helping to bring soccer more firmly into New York City's sports and recreation scene and helping to ensure the safety of athletes," said Dr. Steven Corwin, chief executive of New-York-Presbyterian Hospital.
"NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and New York City FC share a commitment to giving back, and we know that through this relationship, we will be able to have even more of a positive impact on our collective community."
Tim Pernetti, chief business officer of New York City Football Club, added: "Their innovative work and dynamic leadership mean NewYork-Presbyterian is perfectly placed to provide New York City FC with expert care and support for the club."
