Portuguese super agent Jorge Mendes will have a major say on Wolves' transfer dealings.

Mendes, whose clients include Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, will play a key role in bringing new players to Wolves, the club's new owners have confirmed.

Fosun's Jeff Shi told the Express & Star: “Jorge is my friend, a very good friend.

“When I chose the club to invest, he gave us a lot of advice on why Wolves is the best club.

“After the takeover, I think he will be one of our agents. He's now working on that to try and bring players to us. I think he has a lot of resources in the world.

“Some clubs have a very good relationship with him. I'm also very familiar with our friends in Benfica, I know the chairman there (and) the CEO.

“Maybe we will try to get some players from there."
