New Villa signing Kozak admits to steep learning curve

Aston Villa new boy Libor Kozak admits he needs to consistently impress if he is to be a regular starter for the Midlanders. Kozak grabbed the winning goal in last weekend's victory at Norwich in only his second appearance for the club.

"It's definitely a good start as it would have been worse if I had to wait (for the first goal)," Kozak told isport.blesk.cz. "It's fine that I scored but now it's even more important to build on that.

"Coach Lambert praised me after the match but I have to show a lot from my abilities yet.

"First of all I need to adapt myself because it's a lot different to Italy. I am far from my ideal form."

"But it's going to take some time yet, though I have a good feeling."

"Now we have a tough match against Manchester City on Saturday, so we need to stop thinking about Norwich and look forward, try to confirm that win," he added.

"I would be very glad if I could start and enjoy the atmosphere on the pitch. Motivation is huge, it's a massive game, so hopefully we can do well."
