New Torino coach Giancarlo Camolese is convinced they can beat the drop this season.
"We have what it takes to stay in the top flight," Camolese told Datasport. "The first thing that needs to be done is to get the squad into better physical shape.
"I will ask the lads for their full support and help in achieving survival. It's good that we have the international break before the League starts again.
Camolese is initially only under contract with Torino until the end of the season.
"I have a short-term contract, but I am hoping to be here longer," he continued.
"In the last few hours I have received numerous messages of support and I was moved.
"Now I need to transmit that to the players because they have to start believing in themselves again."
