New Spain coach Luis de la Fuente sees Manchester City midfielder Rodri as a natural replacement for Sergi Busquets.

Barcelona captain Busquets has announced his international retirement this week.

De la Fuentes said: "It is a huge loss, but football continues and we will have to think about possible replacements -- there are very good ones.

"Although they will have to go a long way to reach the level of what Busquets has achieved.

"There are players who have already occupied that position, like Rodri, but we are following other players and there are others who will have their chance. There is still time until March to see the evolution of the players."
