New president at J-League club Omiya Ardija named

J-League club Omiya Ardija have installed Shigeru Suzuki as its new president.

The Former NTT Group executive has replaced Seigo Watanabe who resigned after admitting to inflating attendance figures over the past few seasons.

The controversy has embarrassed the Saitama club and brought upon plenty of scorn from league administrators.

It is believed that Watanabe will remain with Omiya but will move to an advisory role whilst Suzuki get settled.
