New Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has all but shut the door on an AC Milan return for Alberto Aquilani.
He has spent the last two seasons on loan in Serie A, but neither Juventus nor Milan took up their options to make the move permanent.
"The boy Aquilani is a wonderful talent and a terrific player, but he might not be able to settle," said Rodgers.
"He might not be able to adapt to the country so you've got all those issues and sometimes you're not aware of that until you sit down and speak to the people."
