New injury setback for Wolves keeper Murray

Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray has suffered a new injury setback.

Murray has suffered a fresh setback and has been ruled out for several months with a knee injury.

Murray has not made a first-team appearance for Wolves since May 2007, but recently hit the comeback trail after being sidelined for a year due to a ruptured patella tendon suffered on loan at Hereford United.

"Matt won't be fit until next year," Wolves boss Mick McCarthy told the club's official website. "We're in December now obviously, but it is going to be months.

"There's no surgery required, but he needs to get the knee sorted out and is going to be out for a few months.

"It's difficult for all players when they get injured, but Matt will keep fighting on. He was at least happy that there was no further surgery needed."
