Luis Garcia feels confident ahead of his first game as Espanyol coach against Athletic Bilbao.

Garcia has succeeded Diego Martinez this week.

He said, "I said it the first day. Mentally it is a very strong team. When things don't work out, that strength is undermined. But not even when I was in Madrid and I saw the team below on the scoreboard did I see it collapse, they were struggling to come back.

"And this is basic in the situation in which we are to develop the work and fight for the objective.

"You have to enjoy it, I really want to do it, to see the happy players, because they are with a tremendous predisposition, trying to assimilate the concepts that we want to implement.

"But don't worry, because we've had three sessions, a lot of information to transmit... Little by little and enjoying the journey and getting the results.

"They all train very well, some give me some things, others others. We have to be clear about what we are looking for, but the important thing is not who comes out but that they contribute what they must contribute against a very physically strong opponent. We are a team, not eleven, but all those who are not going to participate and the staff."
