Diego Fagundez has been named the MLS Player of the Week for Week 14.
The 18-year old New England Revolution forward scored a goal and provided two assists as his side hammered reigning MLS champions LA Galaxy 5-0 at the Gillette Stadium.
Uruguayan starlet Fagundez was involved in the Revs opening goal in the 33rd minute when he played a neat one-two with Saer Sene who finished with aplomb before teeing up Lee Nguyen for the second in the 71st minute.
Fagundez then added a third three minutes from regular time when he played a give-and-go with Kelyn Rowe to fire past Carlo Cudicini for his fifth goal of the season before Chad Barrett and Rowe completed the rout.
Fagundez has now scored in four straight games for the Revs and becomes the first New England player to win the weekly award this season.
