The 21-year old was the catalyst for the Revs’ 5-1 victory over Philadelphia Union at Gillette Stadium with a brace of goals as he helped guide the team to fifth place on the Eastern conference table.
Rowe opened the scoring for New England in the 26th minute with a well-placed shot from about 25 yards into the bottom left corner which had Union keeper Zac MacMath all at bay.
The Union levelled through Danny Cruz five minutes into the second half before an own-goal from Amobi Okugo, who was later sent off, restored the Revs’ lead just before the hour-mark.
Rowe then made it 3-1 in the 65th minute when he struck sweetly, again from range, curling the ball into the top right corner with the outside of his boot prior to goals from Diego Fagundez and Juan Agudelo to complete the rout.
Rowe became just the second Revs player this season to be named the MLS Player of the Week after Fagundez in Week 14.
