Frank Lampard says his completely focused on his first managerial job at Derby County.

The Chelsea icon doesn't see his new role as a stepping stone for a future job as the Blues' manager however, and is adamant he's completely dedicated to success with the Rams.

"I'm certainly a long, long way from that and that isn't my only path," Lampard said on one day becoming Chelsea manager.

"Everybody knows how big Chelsea have been in my playing life, but this is a completely new start for me and I'm not relying on any past emotions or past links at this point.

"My complete focus is on Derby and trying to be a success here. It would be very naive of me to think any further than that and I'm actually not."
