New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri says he wants to keep Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard.
Sarri admits they must hang onto skipper Cahill given English quota demands.
He said, "Well a number of English players is imposed so there will be some.
"I don't want to make this distinction, I am not bothered about nationality. They are not young or old.
"Cahill can still give us a lot. In keeping the English players, something must be left.
"Juventus had the most Italians and it led to good results. We should respect a very long tradition."
On Hazard, he also said: "Hazard is a high level player and I think he is one of the top two or three European players.
"I would like to have fun during the week with him, this would mean good results and being competitive at the end of the season.
"I hope I will manage to improve him, this is very difficult as he is at a high level."
Sarri also was asked about working with Blues owner Roman Abramovich given he is still residing outside the UK due to visa difficulties.
He added: "Well this is something where our owner is a reserved person.
"I don't want to start a work relationship with him by speaking about private things.
"This is a private relationship and I hope this is respected, also given the characteristics of our owner."
