New Celta Vigo coach Juan Carlos Unzue: Impossible to fall out with Luis Enrique

Juan Carlos Unzue has been unveiled as new Celta Vigo coach.

The former Barcelona assistant coach succeeds Eduardo Berizzo.

Unzue said, "I come from a club that uses the cantera, Osasuna, I grew up at clubs where the cantera was important and at Barcelona it's vital.

"I've been a player, a goalkeeper coach, an assistant coach and a head coach. When I start a role I have new sensations, but I see myself prepared. I've always thought about gaining experience to be a head coach."

Unzue also spoke of working with Luis Enrique.

"He (Luis Enrique) always treated me like a head coach and the way we worked together was magnificent. He already said that it's impossible that we would fall out and I think he's right, because if we did it would be very stupid on my part.

"Nothing in life is important enough to break the friendship that we have. They are 13 years at Barcelona in four different eras and the only thing I have for Barcelona is gratitude. I had the fortune to coincide there with Johan Cruyff and there I got the idea that now Celta are trying to follow."
