Lucas Neill is close to making the move to UAE club Al Wasl according to his agent.
The 34-year old Australian national team captain is without a club after he was released by Al Wasl's Pro-League rivals Al Jazira in June but it appears as though a deal could soon be finalised.
Neill's representative, Darren Jackson, suggests that talks with Al Wasl are going well with a deal very much a likely scenario.
"Al Wasl have shown some interest. We are just in the process of speaking to the club, but nothing is formalised as yet," Jackson told the Gulf News.
"Lucas has a number of options and we are just weighing everything up. At this point in time things are at a sensitive stage, so we would refrain from mentioning the names of other clubs. But talks with Al Wasl have been extremely positive so far."
