Samir Nasri has blasted claims he is about to be sacked by Anderlecht for going AWOL.

It's been claimed across Europe that Nasri was set to be dumped by Anderlecht after going dark since Belgium's season was suspended due to the coronavirus.

However, the former Arsenal and Manchester City star took to Instagram last night to rubbish the reports.

Nasri snapped: "It makes no sense.

"Where did you see someone disappear? Because that is what I thought I saw or heard people saying: someone who has disappeared or no longer gives any sign of life. I speak to the chief medical officer every day. He is the one who sends me the sessions I have to do, I speak with Vincent Kompany.

"Speculation, please, that must stop. Nothing is happening at all. I'm waiting to know if the season resumes to make the play-offs. Then we'll see for next season. We are not there yet..."
