Former France midfielder Samir Nasri believes Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is a chance for this year's Ballon d'Or.
However, Nasri says the race for the award will be the most competitive in years.
He said, "Benzema is having an exceptional season, but we must not forget the two exceptional seasons of (Robert) Lewandowski. He is in continuity.
"N'Golo Kanté also had an exceptional season. Lionel Messi won the Copa America, there is a lot of competition.
"Does winning the League of Nations count for the Ballon d'Or? Benzema wears Real, so why not? I have known him since the age of 15, so that would necessarily make me happy for him."
