Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has revealed he's turned down an offer to buy the club.

De Laurentiis says he was approached by an intermediary promising a massive bid.

He recalled to Corriere dello Sport: "A gentleman approached me with circumspection and told me that he would present me with a buyer ready to offer €900m for the club.

"I replied no, Napoli is not for sale."

ADL also invited Sampdoria cult hero Fabio Quagliarella to end his career in Naples.

He added: "He could close his career here, his first adventure could not live as he wanted."
