Napoli legend Diego Maradona admits he was wrong about Maurizio Sarri.

Maradona criticised Sarri's appointment last season.

But he said: "[President Aurelio] De Laurentiis has invited me to the Real Madrid game.

"As for Sarri, I said what I thought of him, then he changed and I recognised my mistake.

"A Coach can put a team onto the pitch, it doesn't work and then you change and things go better. Sarri did that and picked up a lot of points.

"I really like how his Napoli plays, it's too bad that Juve are always above them. They [Juventus] got a jab in Florence though, I loved it!

"Gianluigi Buffon? He's one of the greats."
