Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been left heartbroken by Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.

A major target for City and PSG over the summer, Koulibaly had his heart set on moving to the Etihad before last Monday's transfer deadline, reports Corriere dello Sport.

However, with Napoli proving stubborn negotiators, City turned to Benfica and closed a deal for Ruben Dias

The decision left Koulibaly shocked, as he was planning to move to England this season.

However, the Senegal international isn't too downbeat, convinced Napoli can mount a serious title challenge this season.
