Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri was angry after their 0-0 draw with Genoa.
Mazzarri was unhappy with their stalemate.
"I think it would be wise to evaluate the performance of the referee," snapped Mazzarri.
"My team thoroughly deserved the victory and in the second period Genoa were pinned back into their own half. It's absurd that we don't win a game like this.
"It's also true that we missed a lot of chances, as we wasted four or five clear-cut scoring opportunities."
Genoa Coach Gasperini was unimpressed with these statements from the Napoli camp.
"I doubt it. In fact, there was a Salvatore Aronica handling offence that would've been a second yellow card.
"I thought the referee did well today and if anything was more favourable to Napoli than to us. Unfortunately there is this culture of complaining in football nowadays.
"We did pretty well in the first half, but made mistakes on the counter-attack and after the break didn't show enough courage."
