Napoli chief Bigon admits following Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud

Napoli have confirmed their interest in Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud.

Giroud is expected to leave France in June and is also interesting Arsenal.

"Giroud? He is an exciting player that we are following," said sporting director Riccardo Bigon.

"At the moment we have a lot of good forwards, but we are always looking towards the future.

"Our scouts are following him (Giroud) closely and we have seen more than one of Montpellier's matches this season."
