Napoli are chasing Ascoli striker Marco Bernacci.
Bernacci struck 16 goals in last season's Serie B and is co-owned by Ascoli and Cesena, which is dropping into Serie C1.
Napoli are seeking talks with Cesena over their 50 per cent of Bernacci, though will face competition from Torino for the prolific forward.
