Napoli are launching a bid for Espanyol wing-back Pablo Zabaleta.
Azzurri sports chief Pasquale Marino is seeking a defensively-minded wing-back and has made contact with Espanyol about Zabaleta's availability.
The Argentine is entering the final year of his current deal and is rated in the £6 million class.
