The Congolese stopper shocked Forest manager after rejecting a new contract offer and declaring plans to leave the club.

The 28-year-old was a key ma in Forest's promotion play-off success, making a string of fine saves in the semi-final against Sheffield United before his penalty shootout heroics.

However, Samba rejected their new contract offer, complaining about the way he had been treated during the season.
