Cagliari midfielder Naithan Nandez is delighted to count on Diego Godin as a teammate.

Godin has joined Cagliari this season on a free transfer from Inter Milan.

"I sent Diego many text messages to convince him to join us," Nandez told Videolina.

“I told him about the many beautiful things of Sardinia, he also appreciates both the sea and the countryside."

Nandez is a Uruguay teammate of Godin.

“Diego is the captain of the national team, but he is above all a friend.
